In the 9th minute Fecha Libre were awarded a corner. Amador Kelemen went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Fecha Libre's Amador Kelemen to fire away a dangerous shot which Gavino Afonso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Adrogue FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nestor Chucho hit a great ball. Fecha Libre's Amador Kelemen shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Gavino Afonso but with some difficulty. Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Pablo Angel in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Amador Kelemen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emiliano Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Pablo Angel, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Adrogue FC's Ezequiel Cerilo got a free kick in the 21st minute. A hard shot by Amador Kelemen from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Gavino Afonso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Lorien in the 24th minute of play forced Adrogue FC's goalkeeper Gavino Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Pablo Angel in the 26th minute of the match. Domingo Leguizamón made in the 29th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ramiro Funes Mori however managed to control. After a defensive mix-up in Fecha Libre's zone, Juan Pablo Angel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Martínez came out of the goal and Juan Pablo Angel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Juan Pablo Angel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emiliano Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Pablo Angel, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Pablo Angel made a kick off. When Fecha Libre's Leandro Lorien in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Adrogue FC's goalie prevented a goal. Leandro Lorien blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavino Afonso having to make a save. In the 55th minute Leandro Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Afonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Lorien in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Afonso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leandro Lorien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fecha Libre's Igli Tare was substituted for Leandro Lorien. In the 64th minute Juan Pablo Angel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Juan Pablo Angel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Adrogue FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Pablo Angel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Martínez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Javi Pinola kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Gavino Afonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igli Tare in the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Juan Pablo Angel notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Fecha Libre's Emiliano Martínez. Emiliano Martínez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gavino Afonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igli Tare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute Igli Tare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Afonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Fecha Libre's Igli Tare nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gavino Afonso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Pat Rice managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fecha Libre's supporters rose to their feet, but Pat Rice was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gavino Afonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Adrogue FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fecha Libre.
