The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sonny Corleone made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Fabrício Lopes sent off a good shot on target. In the 6th minute Fabrício Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Corleone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Hermosillo FC's Mauricio Ekaitz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baltasar Matias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 17th minute VB-Team were awarded a corner. Hafız Öztekin went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Enzo Pellecchia managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A hard shot 20 in the game by Fabrício Lopes from a close distance when the talented Sonny Corleone managed to make a qualified save. Hermosillo FC's players were relieved. Fabrício Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sonny Corleone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Baltasar Jesco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baltasar Matias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The audience was convinced that Gervásio Severiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sonny Corleone was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Baltasar Matias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baltasar Jesco went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Sonny Corleone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Jesco to make the kick off. Baltasar Jesco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Baltasar Matias made a huge save. If Fabrício Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltasar Matias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Jesco in the 55th minute of play. Hermosillo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gonzalo Corderro in the 56th minute. The corner ended in Feliksas Čepulionis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but VB-Team's Baltasar Matias did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alonzo Cristofol got free with Baltasar Matias in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute Gervásio Severiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Corleone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VB-Team made a substitution. Arthur Guerra replaced Sandro Leitão. Hermosillo FC made a substitution. Feliciano Boni replaced Alonzo Cristofol. Hermosillo FC's Alejandro Lope was substituted for Jonatan Fraco. A collision led to VB-Team getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Enzo Pellecchia hit a great ball. VB-Team's Baltasar Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Jesco in the 77th minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Gervásio Severiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VB-Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hermosillo FC the free kick. After 81 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Gervásio Severiano. VB-Team made a substitution. 邱升邦 replaced Gervásio Severiano. After a rather tough play, VB-Team's Gervásio Severiano got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute Fabrício Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Corleone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87thth minute of the game Fabrício Lopes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hermosillo FC's Sonny Corleone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 87 minutes, Feliciano Boni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hermosillo FC and the VB-Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hermosillo FC booed when VB-Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hafız Öztekin didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, VB-Team's Baltasar Matias got control of the ball when Baltasar Jesco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 邱升邦 struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Sonny Corleone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VB-Team.
