C. booed when Encardidos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felippe da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Augusto Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Encardidos's Augusto Mendonça seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Augusto Mendonça the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Encardidos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Augusto Mendonça had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Encardidos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caxinha F. C.:s goal. Sandro Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Encardidos booed when Caxinha F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doriva Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Ceresso in the 26th minute of the match. Edvaldo Nóbrega's late challenge caught a Encardidos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edvaldo Nóbrega helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Caxinha F. C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Edvaldo Nóbrega hit a great ball. When Felippe da Costa fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Encardidos's protests and gave Felippe da Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Encardidos's Felippe da Costa got a free kick in the 28th minute. Carlos Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Sandro Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Encardidos's Flávio Matos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tiaguinho Baptista shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Belmiro Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Encardidos's supporters rose to their feet, but Belmiro Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos Ceresso to strike the kick off in the second half. Carlos Mendes hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Encardidos's Marcos Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 56 minutes, Igor Paraense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Encardidos and the Caxinha F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Igor Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Yan da Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sandro Soeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After some careless play in the Caxinha F. C. defense, Belmiro Arce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Doriva Carvalho. The Caxinha F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Doriva Carvalho should have stopped the shot. After having played for 77 minutes, Belmiro Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Encardidos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Belmiro Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Encardidos's Marcos Ceresso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doriva Carvalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Flávio Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marcos Ceresso came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Encardidos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Ceresso couldn't finish the play. If Belmiro Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Ceresso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Encardidos were the better team. Encardidos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
