Hélder Pernambucano made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Francisco Vaz in the 54th minute. Inter de Melão's Davi Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé Montenegro in the 63rd minute of play. Dé Montenegro scored 4-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davi Valadares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Mendonça during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Várzea F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inter de Melão the free kick. Rubinho Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Várzea F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Inter de Melão for a fine match.
