Leo Kawilarang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13thth minute of the game Johan Assegaf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sentinel's Gery Gozali was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, PHOENIX SC's Kurniawan Bisri got control of the ball when Togar Likumahua tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kurniawan Bisri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Togar Likumahua, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 18 played minutes Sentinel got a freekick which was hit by Memed Giro. A collision led to PHOENIX SC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Leo Kawilarang hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Harseno Julianto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Togar Likumahua made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Deden Amiruddin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gery Gozali. The goal made the score 1-1. 56 minutes into the match, Sentinel's Memed Giro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kurniawan Bisri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stanley Budikusuma charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stanley Budikusuma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sentinel booed when PHOENIX SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanley Budikusuma didn't get a good kick on the ball. Memed Giro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurniawan Bisri having to interfere. PHOENIX SC's Leo Kawilarang got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sentinel's Gery Gozali proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Sentinel from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Leo Kawilarang reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gery Gozali. The goal made the score 1-2. Stanley Budikusuma made a great header on PHOENIX SC's corner, it was just that Sentinel's Gery Gozali managed to reach the ball for a save. Stanley Budikusuma took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gery Gozali. Sentinel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
