FALCÕES VERDES's Adelino Sampaio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 3rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Rubens de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Compugraf's Arnaldo Duarte sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan dos Santos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfredo Barbosa took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan dos Santos. Juan dos Santos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Barbosa during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Compugraf getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alfredo Barbosa hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Compugraf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Lara to maneuver through the defense. Adelino Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 25 minutes into the game, Tomé Hoffmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Compugraf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FALCÕES VERDES the free kick. In the 25th minute, Tomé Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 27 minutes, Agnaldo Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FALCÕES VERDES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agnaldo Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedrão Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Lenzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Lenzi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Pedrão Furtado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of FALCÕES VERDES booed when Compugraf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléberson Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oswaldo Recife took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedrão Furtado. Compugraf's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Agnaldo Lara struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Pedrão Furtado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FALCÕES VERDES. When Fernando Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the FALCÕES VERDES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Prestes couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arnaldo Duarte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedrão Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Lenzi in the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Alessandro Mangueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Pedrão Furtado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Compugraf's goalkeeper Pedrão Furtado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedrão Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Lenzi in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Alessandro Mangueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Pedrão Furtado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FALCÕES VERDES's Juan dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Duarte in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Bruno Lenzi made a precise shot to the right of Pedrão Furtado. Compugraf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Pedrão Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Sampaio in the 92nd minute of the match. Oswaldo Recife recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oswaldo Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Pedrão Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
