Osvaldo da Silveira's late challenge caught a Jipa RO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo da Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, S.E.R Corujão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Jipa RO's Luiz Fabiano Furtado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Jipa RO from getting a goal against them. After 24 played minutes Jipa RO got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Schmidt. If Osmar Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Jipa RO defense, Luan Custódio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fabiano Furtado. The Jipa RO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fabiano Furtado should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Luan Custódio notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Jipa RO's Luiz Fabiano Furtado. Luiz Fabiano Furtado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo José Godoi to make the kick off. The supporters of Jipa RO booed when S.E.R Corujão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fabiano Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio de Barros in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st match minute, Jipa RO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 62 minutes, Paulo José Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.E.R Corujão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo José Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the game, S.E.R Corujão's Luan Custódio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fabiano Furtado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Jardel Botelho took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Waldir Gaúcho to make any attempt to save it. 76 minutes into the game, S.E.R Corujão's Orlando Alvarenga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fabiano Furtado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After a rather tough play, Jipa RO's Edson Duarte got a free kick in the 78th minute. Paulo José Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of Jipa RO booed when S.E.R Corujão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo José Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 played minutes Jipa RO got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Catarinense. Paulo José Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. S.E.R Corujão had played much better football throughout.
