Matias Oyen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Andries Van Mechelen made a huge save. YR Mechelen's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Robbrecht Colebinders 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Andries Van Mechelen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robbrecht Colebinders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robbrecht Colebinders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andries Van Mechelen having to interfere. Dominic Huyghens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andries Mangelschot, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44thth minute of the game Robbrecht Colebinders who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 45th minute, Andries Mangelschot made a precise shot to the right of Dominic Huyghens. Geetsvondel²'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
