The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dalmore's Hubert Versluys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alek De Hondt in the 5th minute of play. Abel Van Den Wijngaert took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hubert Versluys. Hubert Versluys dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 18 minutes of play, KV Schoonwater's Alek De Hondt made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hubert Versluys was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Dalmore's Nicky Uijtterhoeven got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Pino Van Hinnendaels had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hubert Versluys. Dalmore's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pino Van Hinnendaels was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Huijbrechs in the 28th minute of play forced KV Schoonwater's goalkeeper Henk Jonckers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Huijbrechs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alek De Hondt succeeded in the game's 72nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-8. In the 79th minute Abel Van Den Wijngaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Versluys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Dalmore's goal looked a bit too open when Alek De Hondt came free, but Hubert Versluys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Alek De Hondt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Versluys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hubert Versluys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alek De Hondt in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, KV Schoonwater's Abel Van Den Wijngaert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
