After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Robustiano Guillem stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Cordearo came out of the goal and Robustiano Guillem tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Quinito. 44 minutes into the game, Ramiro Lano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jedi Knights the free kick. In the 44th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Lano to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the game, Luciano Pirro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. David Abeijon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
