Belmiro Pontes hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manfredo Aguiar. Mundial EC's Ademir Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Cole in the 12th minute of play. Vito Seco took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ademir Bueno. Ademir Bueno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ademir Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute Jerzy Zjawin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Cole in the 20th minute of play forced Mundial EC's goalkeeper Ademir Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Jerzy Zjawin made a precise shot to the right of Ademir Bueno. Mundial EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Mundial EC's Júnior Santos got a free kick in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Vidal came free, but Ademir Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ademir Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Vito Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Mundial EC defense, Vito Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ademir Bueno. The Mundial EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ademir Bueno should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomás Senna was the one to do the kick off. If Jerzy Zjawin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jerzy Zjawin got free with Ademir Bueno in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Aguiar in the 55th minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mundial EC's Ademir Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Zjawin in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Jerzy Zjawin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ademir Bueno. That made the score 1-5 in the 61 minute of play. In the 63rd minute Andy Cole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mundial EC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Júnior Santos hit a great ball. Mundial EC's Ademir Bueno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Mundial EC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Mundial EC's Ademir Bueno got control of the ball when Vito Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ademir Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Cole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the game, Floresta Negra FC's Vito Seco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ademir Bueno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Mundial EC's Alessandro de Sousa was substituted for Faustão Alvarenga. 75 minutes into the match, Andy Cole notched a goal, 1-7, to the right of Mundial EC's Ademir Bueno. Ademir Bueno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 81 minutes into the match, Mundial EC's goalkeeper Ademir Bueno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vito Seco. 86 minutes into the game, Jerzy Zjawin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ademir Bueno. Jerzy Zjawin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. Ademir Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Zjawin in the 89th minute of play.
