In the 8th minute Mohamed Basso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Belmiro Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Motta in the 12th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the match, E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's goal looked a bit too open when Mohamed Basso came free, but Belmiro Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 17th minute of the game was made by Galip Özbekkan with Tostão Motta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Belmiro Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Mohamed Basso sent off a good shot on target. Mohamed Basso struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Belmiro Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capibaribe Stars. Thomás Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão Motta in the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute of the match Capibaribe Stars got a corner. E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilton Fontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Mihnea Zamfir drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's goalkeeper. The corner led Capibaribe Stars's Klement Cieslak to fire away a dangerous shot which Belmiro Montenegro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Belmiro Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Basso, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 39 minutes E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilton Fontes who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Wilton Fontes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Belmiro Montenegro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Belmiro Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Basso in the 41st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mohamed Basso got free with Belmiro Montenegro in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's goalkeeper Belmiro Montenegro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilton Fontes made a great header on Capibaribe Stars's corner, it was just that E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's Belmiro Montenegro managed to reach the ball for a save. Belmiro Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hicham Al Azka, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Zinédine Maradona kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohamed Basso in the 89th minute of play forced E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's goalkeeper Belmiro Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belmiro Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohamed Basso in the 91st minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
