Sporting Clube Patrício's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Vicente Paixão scored to the left of an out of position Almiro Setúbal, making the score, 1-0. From close distance Rogério Braga pressed in the 2-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 13 minutes into the game. In the 17th minute, Mário Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Teachers FC's Humberto Lamego broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Teachers FC's Humberto Lamego couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sporting Clube Patrício. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Rogério Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teachers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Braga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Almiro Setúbal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Almiro Setúbal managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Teachers FC's Rogério Braga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 41 in the game by Rogério Braga from a close distance when the talented Almiro Setúbal managed to make a qualified save. Sporting Clube Patrício's players were relieved. In the 42nd match minute, Teachers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Vides to maneuver through the defense.
