After a defensive mix-up in Avellaneda FC's zone, Alex de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Gartzea came out of the goal and Alex de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Alex de Brito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avellaneda FC's Eduardo Gartzea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Nhungarinthians's Ademir Pirani in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The tension between the Avellaneda FC and the Nhungarinthians players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eduardo Gartzea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alex de Brito went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex de Brito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 90th minute, Lorenzo Tauro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Nhungarinthians's Laerte Lago didn't even have to move. Henrique Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Gartzea having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Nhungarinthians's Eduardo Gartzea threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alex de Brito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match was over Nhungarinthians could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Avellaneda FC throughout the match.
