The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas Aparecido during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Douglas Aparecido hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Egídio Passos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fermin Mingo's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Americo Ieltxu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauã Alvarenga in the 20th minute of the match. After 21 minutes C. A. Atlanta's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matheus Salgado who took care of the corner kick. Americo Ieltxu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kauã Alvarenga's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. A collision led to C. A. Atlanta getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Guillermo Nesto hit a great ball. Kauã Alvarenga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matheus Salgado during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Du Esporte Clube's Matheus Salgado got a free kick in the 40th minute.

56 minutes into the match, Du Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Fermin Mingo came free, but Egídio Passos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Americo Ieltxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauã Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute of the match C. A. Atlanta got a corner. Du Esporte Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Federico Gil ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Du Esporte Clube booed when C. A. Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Inocente didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Kauã Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Du Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kauã Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Egídio Passos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. C. A. Atlanta were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Du Esporte Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Federico Gil took the corner. After 89 minutes, Roger Albuquerque mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Du Esporte Clube and the C. A. Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card.
