Geçkinli's Mehmet Ediz Tanbek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Salinas in the 51st minute of play. Mehmet Ediz Tanbek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javi Moreno in the 52nd minute of the match. Julio Salinas struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Mehmet Ediz Tanbek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Alavés. Deportivo Alavés's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javi Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mehmet Ediz Tanbek came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Alavés's Javi Moreno. But to his dismay, Javi Moreno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. With a little luck, Deportivo Alavés's Gonzo Cabezas got control of the ball when Müjdat Rafih tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Alavés's Eliu Esperta got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Gonzo Cabezas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Müjdat Rafih in the 96th minute.
