An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Macedo in the 24th minute of play forced Smile's goalkeeper Aureliusz Popowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Izydor Gdowski kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, SAS's Roberto da Rocha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aureliusz Popowicz. Aureliusz Popowicz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Smile's Aureliusz Popowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Maia in the 33rd minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, SAS's Joel Macedo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aureliusz Popowicz was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Smile getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Izydor Gdowski hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Macedo in the 40th minute of play forced Smile's goalkeeper Aureliusz Popowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aureliusz Popowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Maia in the 44th minute of play. After 45 minutes, Klement Drab mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Smile and the SAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SAS booed when Smile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klement Drab didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Smile's goalkeeper Aureliusz Popowicz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Klement Drab made a kick off. Aureliusz Popowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The supporters of SAS booed when Smile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klement Drab didn't get a good kick on the ball. Smile's Aureliusz Popowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Bertassi in the 56th minute of play. If Ziemowit Harendarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Smile's Gustaw Trynda got a free kick in the 61st minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Germano Bertassi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Germano Bertassi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, Smile's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Machado came free, but Aureliusz Popowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aureliusz Popowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Bertassi in the 75th minute of play. When Zula Gierasik fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Smile's protests and gave Zula Gierasik a yellow card for diving instead. Aureliusz Popowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germano Bertassi hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Ziemowit Harendarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaw Trynda kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Joel Macedo struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Aureliusz Popowicz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAS. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SAS fully deserved thier win.
