Thommy Jadis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute MINEIROS were awarded a corner. Humberto Severo went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enea Colasante in the 15th minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Thommy Jadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Mário Maradona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Frey. Real Murçia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Maradona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Mário Maradona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercole Orsi in the 25th minute of play forced MINEIROS's goalkeeper Thommy Jadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Maradona in the 26th minute of play forced Real Murçia FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Frey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thommy Jadis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Orsi, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Sebastian Frey didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 29th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. Mário Maradona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The corner led MINEIROS's Humberto Severo to fire away a dangerous shot which Sebastian Frey despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 46th minute Robert Billock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thommy Jadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mário Maradona to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's Mário Maradona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Frey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match, Real Murçia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Maradona came free, but Sebastian Frey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cedro Gurendes hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Mário Maradona fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Sebastian Frey. Ercole Orsi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Thommy Jadis made a huge save. In the 74th minute Robert Billock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thommy Jadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Robert Billock's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thommy Jadis was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Sebastian Frey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, MINEIROS's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Billock came free, but Thommy Jadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Mário Maradona sped through Real Murçia FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastian Frey. Real Murçia FC's Sebastian Frey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Maradona in the 92nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. MINEIROS had won after a very even match.
