The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. POZANTI SPOR's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Bruno Lenzi scored to the left of an out of position Clodio Taffarel, making the score, 1-0. Clodio Taffarel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manuel Ferraz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. After a rather tough play, FALCÕES VERDES's Oswaldo Recife got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes, POZANTI SPOR's Ege Onursoy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Murillo Macedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in POZANTI SPOR reached it. The supporters of POZANTI SPOR booed when FALCÕES VERDES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, POZANTI SPOR's Clodio Taffarel got control of the ball when Bruno Lenzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Bruno Lenzi could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Clodio Taffarel however easily saved by the left post. Clodio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Abraão in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Christiano Abraão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FALCÕES VERDES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Clodio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Ferraz in the 25th minute of the match. When Conrado de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FALCÕES VERDES's protests and gave Conrado de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of POZANTI SPOR booed when FALCÕES VERDES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelsinho Ferreira took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clodio Taffarel. Clodio Taffarel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Christiano Abraão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clodio Taffarel. That made the score 5-0 in the 37 minute of play. POZANTI SPOR were furious when Ahmet Baki Tecen was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Richard Vieira missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 43 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Clodio Taffarel right hand side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Clodio Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Lenzi in the 52nd minute of play. Paul Pogba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murillo Macedo having to interfere. The supporters of FALCÕES VERDES booed when POZANTI SPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Yılmaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ege Onursoy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Murillo Macedo made a huge save. When Paul Pogba fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored POZANTI SPOR's protests and gave Paul Pogba a yellow card for diving instead. 66 minutes into the match, POZANTI SPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Lenzi came free, but Clodio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Şaban Dizdar during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th match minute, POZANTI SPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Şaban Dizdar to maneuver through the defense. Clodio Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. POZANTI SPOR's Clodio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Abraão in the 74th minute of play. Nelsinho Ferreira charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelsinho Ferreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes FALCÕES VERDES got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Ferreira. Paul Pogba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, POZANTI SPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Ferraz came free, but Clodio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to POZANTI SPOR getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Paul Pogba hit a great ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FALCÕES VERDES fully deserved thier win.
