After 8 played minutes Defensores de Fasano got a freekick which was hit by Esteve Xacintu. Mauro Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Joaquin Lauro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A A Arizona. Joaquin Lauro was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Mazinho Godoi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mazinho Godoi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Júlio Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Rony Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute, A A Arizona's Chicão Freire ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquin Lauro. Joaquin Lauro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 25 minutes of play, Defensores de Fasano's Teodosio Solustiano made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Siqueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 30 played minutes A A Arizona got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Prado. Teodosio Solustiano scored 2-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodolfo Siqueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Defensores de Fasano's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Pinho came free, but Joaquin Lauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Joanes in the 42nd minute of play forced A A Arizona's goalkeeper Rodolfo Siqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodosio Solustiano in the 46th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélder Pinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabinho Sanches charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabinho Sanches the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 60 minutes into the match, Defensores de Fasano's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Godoi came free, but Joaquin Lauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Defensores de Fasano's Joaquin Lauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Godoi in the 62nd minute of play. Teodosio Solustiano's late challenge caught a A A Arizona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodosio Solustiano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Fasano's Teodosio Solustiano got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Natalio Leoiar kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Godoi in the 68th minute of play forced Defensores de Fasano's goalkeeper Joaquin Lauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Siqueira made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Teodosio Solustiano sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Luís Bertassi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in A A Arizona's zone, Remigio Tabby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Siqueira came out of the goal and Remigio Tabby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute Mazinho Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Lauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
