Alkis Aggellakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Măcrineanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the FC ciufulici defense, Alexis Idrotoglou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petrică Todoran. The FC ciufulici fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petrică Todoran should have stopped the shot. In the 8th minute Alexis Idrotoglou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petrică Todoran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petrică Todoran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexis Idrotoglou's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Petrică Todoran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitris Nasiopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a rather tough play, Tabachana F.C.'s Aris Mesidis got a free kick in the 18th minute. Petrică Todoran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fanis Eleftheropoulos in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Alexis Idrotoglou cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Petrică Todoran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 33rd minute, Alexis Idrotoglou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petrică Todoran was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 46 played minutes Tabachana F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Evripidis Kamarinakis. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduard Măcrineanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Fanis Eleftheropoulos could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Petrică Todoran however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Tabachana F.C.'s zone, Damian Vulpescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alkis Aggellakis came out of the goal and Damian Vulpescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute Rareș Antonescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkis Aggellakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 64 minutes on the clock, Aris Mesidis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tabachana F.C.! The supporters of Tabachana F.C. booed when FC ciufulici was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Simionică didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC ciufulici's Petrică Todoran got control of the ball when Valentinos Balaouras tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alkis Aggellakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgar Comarnescu went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to FC ciufulici getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Rareș Antonescu hit a great ball. After 77 minutes of play, Tabachana F.C.'s Valentinos Balaouras made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petrică Todoran was left in no man's land by his defense there! Demis Stoltidis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Petrică Todoran came out and tried to block the shot, but Demis Stoltidis slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 81st minute. Petrică Todoran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demis Stoltidis in the 84th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tabachana F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
