The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mikael Vennerström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vincent Frankena in the 15th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Billy Åhman put in a rough tackle. 16 minutes into the game, one of Överås BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 19 minutes Överås BK's goalkeeper Mikael Vennerström managed, with a little bit of luck, save Vincent Frankena's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. Mikael Vennerström came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Pisang Goreng United's Vincent Frankena. But to his dismay, Vincent Frankena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Vincent Frankena might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mikael Vennerström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vincent Frankena ran back to his position shaking his head. Antoon Zeegers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henric Magnusson in the 24th minute of the match. If Vincent Frankena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 28 played minutes Pisang Goreng United got a freekick which was hit by Wim Ronde. Vincent Frankena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Mikael Vennerström made a huge save. Mikael Vennerström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Frankena in the 30th minute of play. Sven-Ove Hansson charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven-Ove Hansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, Överås BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Ove Hansson to maneuver through the defense. Vincent Frankena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mikael Vennerström having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Överås BK's Sven-Ove Hansson got a free kick in the 36th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Pisang Goreng United's Vincent Schulte tried to score from far away in the 37th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Vincent Frankena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mikael Vennerström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Niels-Jan Cales hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Vincent Frankena in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mikael Vennerström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 51 played minutes Överås BK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Hansson. Vincent Frankena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, Överås BK's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Frankena came free, but Mikael Vennerström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Vincent Frankena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0.
