Wally Hightower showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alesandro Del Piero in the 4th minute of the match. If Emanuele Colasante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Diego Rosetta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, Greek Saints's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuele Colasante came free, but Benê de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benê de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuele Colasante in the 22nd minute of play. Benê de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuele Colasante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Greek Saints's Benê de Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Greek Saints from getting a goal against them. Emanuele Colasante might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benê de Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuele Colasante ran back to his position shaking his head. Benê de Toledo made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Diego Rosetta sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the match, Leonzio's goal looked a bit too open when Alesandro Del Piero came free, but Wally Hightower reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benê de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Toro, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Alesandro Del Piero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Hightower saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 44 played minutes Greek Saints got a freekick which was hit by Iraklis Katergiannakis. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuele Colasante was the one to do the kick off. Greek Saints's Benê de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Colasante in the 51st minute of play. In the 57th minute, Patricio Toro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leonzio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Benê de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Petroni in the 61st minute of play. When Iraklis Katergiannakis fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greek Saints's protests and gave Iraklis Katergiannakis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Leonzio booed when Greek Saints was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iraklis Katergiannakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zisis Kedakis kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Gagliano in the 68th minute of play forced Greek Saints's goalkeeper Benê de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th match minute, Leonzio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuele Colasante to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Greek Saints's Alesandro Del Piero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Greek Saints's Benê de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Colasante in the 89th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Sixto Poz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Benê de Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Greek Saints players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Leonzio.
