Filomeno Geleberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quirce Lamas in the 7th minute of play. Filomeno Geleberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quirce Lamas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Iglesia's Fulgencio Eli seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fulgencio Eli the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Iglesia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fulgencio Eli had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 12 minutes into the game, one of Iglesia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Filomeno Geleberto, was totally fooled by ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Solustiano Blea, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Iglesia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Quirce Lamas scored to the left of an out of position Filomeno Geleberto, making the score, 2-0. Filomeno Geleberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quirce Lamas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isidoro Umbruso kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Isidoro Umbruso hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quirce Lamas in the 29th minute of play forced Iglesia's goalkeeper Filomeno Geleberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Quirce Lamas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quirce Lamas got free with Filomeno Geleberto in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the game, Quirce Lamas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Filomeno Geleberto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Moises Hernan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Filomeno Geleberto made a huge save. After a rather tough play, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Cordario Bazarra got a free kick in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Lizbeth to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Iglesia booed when ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivareo Mouro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 played minutes, Iglesia's Severo Rik shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ermengol Baena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Iglesia reached it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Iglesia's goalie and right to Inigo Cueli. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Iglesia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ubaldo Kelemen in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermengol Baena saved ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► from getting behind. In the 70th minute of the match, Manuel Lizbeth tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ermengol Baena saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Aquiles Gaufred fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iglesia's protests and gave Aquiles Gaufred a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 minutes Iglesia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Solustiano Blea who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s corner Solustiano Blea fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Filomeno Geleberto quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Iglesia booed when ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivareo Mouro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ubaldo Kelemen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ermengol Baena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute Quirce Lamas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filomeno Geleberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Iglesia's zone, Quirce Lamas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filomeno Geleberto came out of the goal and Quirce Lamas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► had won after a very even match.
