With his leg Suphi Duha managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when A.D Leônico's Vatan Kambay fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to A.D Leônico getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Olavo Pontes hit a great ball. Uğurcan Kaymaz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A.D Leônico's Dagoberto Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Recep Tayyip Rızkullah in the 7th minute of play. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.D Leônico! In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Gündoğdu. Uğurcan Kaymaz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dagoberto Veiga. 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, A.D Leônico's goal looked a bit too open when Anıl Ozan Tandoğdu came free, but Dagoberto Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dagoberto Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anıl Ozan Tandoğdu, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Kuddusî Bir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gündoğdu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.D Leônico the free kick. 18 minutes into the game, one of Gündoğdu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Suphi Duha had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Andriy Shevchenko's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 21 minutes into the match, A.D Leônico's Vatan Kambay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Suphi Duha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Vatan Kambay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Suphi Duha was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. 24 minutes into the match, A.D Leônico's goal looked a bit too open when Korcan Oytunç came free, but Dagoberto Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gündoğdu's Suphi Duha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Ponc in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gündoğdu's zone, Matías Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Suphi Duha came out of the goal and Matías Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A.D Leônico's Dagoberto Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Korcan Oytunç in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Gündoğdu's goalkeeper Suphi Duha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andriy Shevchenko. Suphi Duha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vatan Kambay's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Dagoberto Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Korcan Oytunç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ariel Ponc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Suphi Duha having to interfere. João Carlos Medeiros hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The A.D Leônico players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gündoğdu were winning 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Recep Tayyip Rızkullah stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, A.D Leônico's Dagoberto Veiga got control of the ball when Korcan Oytunç tried to sneak it across the goal line. Suphi Duha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andriy Shevchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Recep Tayyip Rızkullah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dagoberto Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andriy Shevchenko, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Gündoğdu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gündoğdu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
