Mataderos's Aldo Salomone got a free kick in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Aek athens's goalkeeper Sakis Kaladosis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faustino Llin. Aek athens's Sakis Kaladosis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Aek athens from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faustino Llin got free with Sakis Kaladosis in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Lobo in the 32nd minute of play forced Aek athens's goalkeeper Sakis Kaladosis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynardo Lloredo in the 39th minute of play forced Sp. Mataderos's goalkeeper Valentin Leguizamón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sakis Kaladosis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Lobo in the 43rd minute of the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Aek athens to win.
