Sven-Ove Lövgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Eleazar having to interfere. If Sven-Ove Lövgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horacio Eleazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Rosendahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rivadavia's Horacio Eleazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Rosendahl in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michael Rosendahl got free with Horacio Eleazar in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horacio Eleazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Berggren in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute, Småland Utd's Michael Rosendahl ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Horacio Eleazar. Horacio Eleazar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. With a little luck, Rivadavia's Horacio Eleazar got control of the ball when Frank Berggren tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Nicolas Policarpio fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rivadavia's protests and gave Nicolas Policarpio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rivadavia getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Nicolas Policarpio hit a great ball. Leonel Aritza charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Aritza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rivadavia's Leonel Aritza got a free kick in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Berggren made a kick off. Horacio Eleazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Wennersten, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sven Wennersten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Frank Berggren put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Horacio Eleazar. The supporters of Småland Utd booed when Rivadavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Precioso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Rivadavia's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Berggren came free, but Horacio Eleazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Småland Utd fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Småland Utd's Sven-Ove Lövgren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 89th minute Sven-Ove Lövgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Eleazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Småland Utd booed when Rivadavia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Maria didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Rivadavia's Agustin Precioso got a free kick in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Småland Utd were the better team. Småland Utd's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
