José Paulo Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stepan Leschuk in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Sporting Malvinas's Luís Fernando Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olexiy Shved made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The supporters of Sporting Malvinas booed when Kherson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxym Kilikevych didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jardel Perez fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Malvinas's protests and gave Jardel Perez a yellow card for diving instead. When Mefodiy Olexandriv came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Kherson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mefodiy Olexandriv couldn't finish the play. Luís Fernando Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olexiy Shved having to interfere. A collision led to Sporting Malvinas getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jardel Perez hit a great ball. José Paulo Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matviy Semyryak in the 27th minute of play. José Paulo Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stepan Leschuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kherson's zone, Luís Fernando Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olexiy Shved came out of the goal and Luís Fernando Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerson Jacinto in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olexiy Shved, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Kherson's Matviy Semyryak in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting Malvinas's goalie prevented a goal. After 36 minutes, Matviy Semyryak made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sporting Malvinas's José Paulo Prata tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jardel Perez hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Matviy Semyryak struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. José Paulo Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kherson. José Paulo Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matviy Semyryak in the 43rd minute of play. When Matviy Semyryak came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Kherson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matviy Semyryak couldn't finish the play. Sporting Malvinas's José Paulo Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxym Kilikevych in the 49th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Matviy Semyryak made the kick off in the second half. Gerson Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olexiy Shved read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Sporting Malvinas getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jardel Perez hit a great ball. In the 56th match minute, Sporting Malvinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Perez to maneuver through the defense. If Stepan Leschuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 minutes of play, Sporting Malvinas's Jonas Netto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olexiy Shved was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute Maxym Kilikevych shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Paulo Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matviy Semyryak in the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Jonas Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Malvinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Netto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olexiy Shved breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sporting Malvinas had played much better football throughout.
