With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Barovero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee ignored River CBBA's protests and gave Pablo Solari a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes River CBBA got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Solari. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leopoldo Luque to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Luque cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Evelio Antoniano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romelu Lukaku in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romelu Lukaku in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Barovero saved River CBBA from getting behind. Marco Ruben received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute.
