After 7 played minutes MarquinhosEC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fabiano Neto. 12 minutes into the game, Xiboquinha FC's Hélio Meireles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquim Ribeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betão Vinhas in the 18th minute of play forced MarquinhosEC's goalkeeper Joaquim Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Luiz Paulo Santos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frédson Freire. The goal made the score 3-3. In the 58th minute, Betão Vinhas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xiboquinha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. 62 minutes into the match, Franklin Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquim Ribeiro. MarquinhosEC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franklin Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Hélder Meireles hit a great ball. Frédson Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Fabiano Neto in the 71st minute. 79 minutes into the game, Luiz Paulo Santos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frédson Freire. Luiz Paulo Santos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-4. 84 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Paulo Santos came free, but Frédson Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frédson Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano da Cunha in the 86th minute of the match.
