Cafu Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when Meninos do Morro F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cafu Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Claudinho Terra notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Meninos do Morro F.C's Adriano da Rocha. Adriano da Rocha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute, Claudinho Terra made a precise shot to the right of Adriano da Rocha. Guga Velasco scored 0-5 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adriano da Rocha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Claudinho Terra made a precise shot to the right of Adriano da Rocha. Meninos do Morro F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. In the 28thth minute of the game Claudinho Terra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meninos do Morro F.C's Adriano da Rocha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Claudinho Terra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adriano da Rocha. Meninos do Morro F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinho Terra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Hugo Favoretto scored 0-8 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adriano da Rocha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Armando Massa got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adriano da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Massa in the 37th minute of the match. Adriano da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xande Koeman, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. When New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xande Koeman in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meninos do Morro F.C's goalie prevented a goal. 40 minutes into the game, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adriano da Rocha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. Claudinho Terra took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adriano da Rocha. Adriano da Rocha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. In the 46th minute, Claudinho Terra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dráuzio Cordeiro to make the kick off. Adriano da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Favoretto in the 52nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Terra got free with Adriano da Rocha in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 54th minute, Hugo Favoretto made a precise shot to the right of Adriano da Rocha. Meninos do Morro F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-12. 57 minutes into the match, Claudinho Terra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adriano da Rocha. But to his dismay, Hugo Favoretto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-14. Meninos do Morro F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Claudinho Terra scored to the left of an out of position Adriano da Rocha, making the score, 0-16. After some careless play in the Meninos do Morro F.C defense, Claudinho Terra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adriano da Rocha. The Meninos do Morro F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adriano da Rocha should have stopped the shot. Adriano da Rocha made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Claudinho Terra sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when Meninos do Morro F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Meninos do Morro F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Favoretto came free, but Adriano da Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adriano da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cícero Lago in the 92nd minute of the match. Adriano da Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the match was over New Joinville - FSCMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Meninos do Morro F.C throughout the match.
