Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Régis Dante to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Machado in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Romero saved Romando Futebol Clube from getting behind. Romando Futebol Clube were furious when Virgílio Palmeira was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
