The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. José Pedro França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Gabriel do Valle in the 11th minute of play forced Mundial EC's goalkeeper Raphael Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Nils Bengtsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Caio Araújo. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Corumbaense F.C.'s Caio Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şehzade Tecer in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of Corumbaense F.C. booed when Mundial EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Balada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Caio Araújo made a huge save. Mundial EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Will de Backer in the 27th minute. Will de Backer made a great header on Mundial EC's corner, it was just that Corumbaense F.C.'s Caio Araújo managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 28th minute, Joaquim Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 91st minute Tiago Gabriel do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mundial EC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Remo Aguiar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Pedro França in the 94th minute of play forced Mundial EC's goalkeeper Raphael Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mundial EC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
