Ekialde Viedes lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 17 minutes into the game, one of Universitario:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Santos FC a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kris Marks, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Universitario's Quirze Millon. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Universitario's Bonifacio Morentin got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Forrest Hopkins received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Quirze Millon came out and tried to block the shot, but Forrest Hopkins slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 24th minute. Quirze Millon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Forrest Hopkins, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With his leg Quirze Millon managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Santos FC's Hans Ladd fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pitin Herdozain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Shipman having to interfere. Universitario's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Kris Marks scored to the left of an out of position Quirze Millon, making the score, 4-0. Quirze Millon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Forrest Hopkins's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Forrest Hopkins in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quirze Millon saved Universitario from getting behind. When Santos FC's Forrest Hopkins in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Kris Marks scored 6-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Quirze Millon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Universitario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Forrest Hopkins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Quirze Millon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Forrest Hopkins in the 96th minute of the match.
