The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Flamengo de San Blás's Sebastián Trejos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo de San Blás from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Flamengo de San Blás getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Roman Mlekodaj hit a great ball. After 12th play minutes Wiliam Lozano shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Levon Sarkisyan and just under the crossbar into goal. Levon Sarkisyan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wiliam Lozano's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Flamengo de San Blás's Sebastián Trejos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo de San Blás from getting a goal against them. Steinar Stålhandske fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Levon Sarkisyan having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tolek Hoffman in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Levon Sarkisyan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, Khachatryan's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Lozano came free, but Levon Sarkisyan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Abel Avetisyan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Khachatryan's Grigor Grigoryan in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flamengo de San Blás's goalie prevented a goal. Sebastián Trejos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigor Grigoryan in the 39th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Khachatryan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Rang to maneuver through the defense. Steinar Stålhandske struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Levon Sarkisyan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo de San Blás. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wiliam Lozano made a kick off. Khachatryan's Levon Sarkisyan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolek Hoffman in the 52nd minute of play. Levon Sarkisyan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steinar Stålhandske in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Khachatryan's Grigor Grigoryan got a free kick in the 61st minute. Khachatryan's Jarvis Cormier was substituted for Kurtis Wooten. Flamengo de San Blás made a substitution. Cheito Carranza replaced Mauro Galvão. The supporters of Flamengo de San Blás booed when Khachatryan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grigor Grigoryan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 65 in the game by Roman Mlekodaj from a close distance when the talented Levon Sarkisyan managed to make a qualified save. Khachatryan's players were relieved. Jorginho Salles replaced Gilberto Escalona. After 76 minutes Khachatryan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jorginho Salles who took care of the corner kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Ara Arakelyan put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Khachatryan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Flamengo de San Blás:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarvis Cormier in the 86th minute of play forced Flamengo de San Blás's goalkeeper Sebastián Trejos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Luchito Briceño left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo de San Blás fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. A collision led to Flamengo de San Blás getting a freekick after 91 minutes play.
