In the 8th minute, Ulf Arenstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven-Erik Ivarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kåre Wassenius in the 11th minute of the match. Stakbröte were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Heavy Balls FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kåre Wassenius took the corner. The corner ended in Kåre Wassenius almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Heavy Balls FC's Sven-Erik Ivarsson did a great save. Isak Smed fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Erik Ivarsson having to interfere. Sven-Erik Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kåre Wassenius in the 17th minute of play. Ulf Arenstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kennet Bergqvist hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Wennersten in the 45th minute of play forced Stakbröte's goalkeeper Rutger Cane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Heavy Balls FC's goalkeeper Sven-Erik Ivarsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
