If Pete Sampras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olof Söderquist kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute of the match Mats Wilander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson skillfully saved the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Jordan F1 91-05's goal looked a bit too open when Pete Sampras came free, but Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Bailey in the 13th minute of play. Leon Bailey took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aron Dahlbom. Aron Dahlbom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the game, Pete Sampras cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 20 played minutes, Jordan F1 91-05's Jimmy Isaksson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jordan F1 91-05 reached it. In the 28th minute, MAFFIAN's Pete Sampras ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson. Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andre Agassi's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute of the match MAFFIAN got a corner. Jordan F1 91-05's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mats Wilander ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the Jordan F1 91-05 defense, Andre Agassi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson. The Jordan F1 91-05 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson should have stopped the shot. Vincent Linberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Andre Agassi made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes MAFFIAN got a freekick which was hit by Mats Wilander. Jordan F1 91-05's Arne Söderqwist suffered a concussion after 55 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Greger Broberg during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to MAFFIAN getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Greger Broberg hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Mathias Hülkenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Dahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pete Sampras in the 61st minute of play forced Jordan F1 91-05's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andre Agassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andre Agassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ingvar Wållander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Aron Dahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pete Sampras in the 71st minute of the match. MAFFIAN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mats Wilander in the 73rd minute. MAFFIAN's Mats Wilander was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 74 minutes into the game, Ingvar Wållander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jordan F1 91-05's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MAFFIAN the free kick. A collision led to Jordan F1 91-05 getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Ingvar Wållander hit a great ball. If Ingvar Wållander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pete Sampras, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Ingvar Wållander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Dahlbom having to interfere. When Andre Agassi came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the MAFFIAN fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andre Agassi couldn't finish the play. In the 85thth minute of the game Pete Sampras who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jordan F1 91-05's Bengt-Arne Gabrielsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aron Dahlbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Wållander in the 89th minute of the match. Rasmus Kilberg charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rasmus Kilberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Rasmus Kilberg got a free kick in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute, Ingvar Wållander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. MAFFIAN's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
