Skull Sport F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Doni Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Augusto Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th match minute, Skull Sport F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Moura to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Skull Sport F.C's goalkeeper Ruy de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tião de Medeiros. In the 29th minute Hortêncio Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristóvão Moura during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Oséas Mineiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hortêncio Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mário Mendonça came out and tried to block the shot, but Hortêncio Santos slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 69th minute. Mário Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After 79 played minutes Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG got a freekick which was hit by Téo Rodrigues. With a little luck, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Mário Mendonça got control of the ball when Doni Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG reached it. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Skull Sport F.C had controlled the match.
