In the 10th minute Chico Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of BMB IMOVEIS SC booed when Flamengo FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chico Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes BMB IMOVEIS SC got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Esteves. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chico Carneiro in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio de Azevedo saved BMB IMOVEIS SC from getting behind. 22 minutes into the game, Rômulo Mineiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BMB IMOVEIS SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo FSCMZ the free kick. Rômulo Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Adrianinho Mello hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Vitinho Bastos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sérgio de Azevedo was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 29th minute Cássio Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chico Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in BMB IMOVEIS SC's zone, Chico Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio de Azevedo came out of the goal and Chico Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Carneiro in the 56th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, BMB IMOVEIS SC's goal looked a bit too open when Chico Carneiro came free, but Sérgio de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chico Carneiro's late challenge caught a BMB IMOVEIS SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chico Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Flamengo FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. When Adrianinho Mello came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the BMB IMOVEIS SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrianinho Mello couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute of the match, Chico Carneiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 69 minutes, Cipriano Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BMB IMOVEIS SC and the Flamengo FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilberto Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrianinho Mello in the 72nd minute of the match. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Flamengo FSCMZ reached it. Flamengo FSCMZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
