When Kléber Arósio came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Rezende FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléber Arósio couldn't finish the play. In the 18thth minute of the game Cícero Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corumbaense F.C.'s Bruno Cordeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bruno Cordeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cícero Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Cícero Saldanha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Cordeiro was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cícero Saldanha made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Hoffmann got free with Luciano Breckenfeld in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aloísio Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Bruno Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Aloísio Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Rezende FC fans jumped to their feet. In the 60th minute, Cícero Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cícero Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Cordeiro having to interfere. Luciano Breckenfeld made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Hoffmann in the 73rd minute. In the 87th minute Cícero Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Hoffmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Luciano Breckenfeld made a huge save. Dalmo Godoi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Rezende FC's Dalmo Godoi got a free kick in the 94th minute. Corumbaense F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
