Conrado Pimenta hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Bernardinho Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Paulo Motta in the 5th minute of the match. The referee gave Wambalamba FC a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zé Paulo Motta, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Bernardinho Borges. 0-1. With his leg Toninho Moura managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Luiz Gustavo Torres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Toninho Moura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Gustavo Torres in the 21st minute. Wambalamba FC's Toninho Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Wambalamba FC from getting a goal against them. If Luiz Gustavo Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 27 minutes, Luiz Gustavo Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Gustavo Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Bernardinho Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauã Barreto in the 31st minute of play. After 31 minutes, Geraldo Linares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร and the Wambalamba FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gernando Gerber took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardinho Borges. Bernardinho Borges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 39 played minutes Wambalamba FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão da Cunha. 43 minutes into the game, Wambalamba FC's Cauã Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardinho Borges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Gustavo Torres made a kick off. Cauã Barreto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bernardinho Borges came out and tried to block the shot, but Cauã Barreto slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 55th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Filipe Abraão put in a rough tackle. 64 minutes into the game, one of Wambalamba FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Toninho Moura went to the wrong direction when Júlio Barral was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Dito Gerber looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Toninho Moura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. When Júlio Barral came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Barral couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Wambalamba FC's Ronaldão da Cunha got a free kick in the 85th minute. Gernando Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The goalkeeper, Bernardinho Borges, was totally fooled by Wambalamba FC's Zé Paulo Motta, who 92 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 96 minutes into the match, Gernando Gerber notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Bernardinho Borges. Bernardinho Borges was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Wambalamba FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wambalamba FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
