Spectators: 177 (Terracing: 133, Seating: 41, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Maicon de Amorim took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when Pragmáticos 1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Jovens Democratas MZC's Maicon de Amorim dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Maicon de Amorim's late challenge caught a Pragmáticos 1903's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maicon de Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Jovens Democratas MZC's Maicon de Amorim got a free kick in the 8th minute. Thierry Henry struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Edvaldo Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pragmáticos 1903. Thierry Henry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Carlos Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon de Amorim in the 13th minute of play. Edvaldo Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thierry Henry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Maicon de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pragmáticos 1903's Zé Carlos Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon de Amorim in the 20th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Zé Augusto Tinoco in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pragmáticos 1903's Walmyr Severo. Sérgio Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edvaldo Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thierry Henry in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Gugu Aparecido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jovens Democratas MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pragmáticos 1903 the free kick. Gugu Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Paulinho Fonseca replaced Claudinei Salles. In the 38th minute, Thierry Henry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvaldo Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 44 minutes in the game Ruud Gullit did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ferenc Puskás. 45 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferenc Puskás came free, but Edvaldo Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pragmáticos 1903's Ferenc Puskás managed to work through Jovens Democratas MZC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ferenc Puskás dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ferenc Puskás to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Otávio Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otávio Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Walmyr Severo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Maicon de Amorim struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Edvaldo Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thierry Henry in the 61st minute of the match. Edvaldo Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thierry Henry, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Pragmáticos 1903's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maicon de Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The Pragmáticos 1903 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 79 minutes in the game Zé Augusto Tinoco did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Emanuel Branco. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Edvaldo Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Walmyr Severo fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pragmáticos 1903's protests and gave Walmyr Severo a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Pragmáticos 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Paulo Chaves. Gugu Aparecido missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 91 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Zé Carlos Britto right hand side. Thierry Henry kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
