Enéas Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enéas Marinho came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Portuguesa's Joélson Rossi. But to his dismay, Joélson Rossi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
In the 52nd minute Joélson Rossi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Portuguesa's Luís Guilherme Valadares to fire away a dangerous shot which Enéas Marinho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Yuri Trigo took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enéas Marinho. Enéas Marinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Joélson Rossi took a quick shot and it went in 0-10 without a chance for Enéas Marinho to make any attempt to save it. AKI CORINTHIANS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Joélson Rossi scored to the left of an out of position Enéas Marinho, making the score, 0-11. Portuguesa played a much better game than AKI CORINTHIANS and deserved their victory. The AKI CORINTHIANS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
