Spectators: 7624 (Terracing: 5719, Seating: 1753, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rony de Andrade started the match with the kick off. Serginho Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Sidnei Pereira sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute of the match, Rony de Andrade tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Serginho Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 15 minutes into the match, WAU team's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Leão came free, but Dráusio Siqueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to WAU team getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Laércio da Costa hit a great ball. Dráusio Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Ceresso in the 16th minute of the match. Bruninho Borges came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Serginho Azevedo could save by the left post. Rony de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Renato Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arlindo Leão during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renan Fantini struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Serginho Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for WAU team. Renato Ortiz's late challenge caught a WAU team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renato Ortiz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Renato Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Bruninho Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. WAU team's Rony de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Sidnei Pereira put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Serginho Azevedo. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arlindo Leão was the one to do the kick off. WAU team's Bruninho Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rony Andrade's late challenge caught a WAU team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rony Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FC's Rony Andrade got a free kick in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rony de Andrade in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serginho Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruninho Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rony de Andrade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serginho Azevedo having to make a save. WAU team's Bruninho Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Flamengo FC's goalkeeper Serginho Azevedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rony de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Serginho Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flamengo FC's Beto de Barros managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jorginho Novaes in the 67 minute of the game. Sidnei Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidnei Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to WAU team getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Sidnei Pereira hit a great ball. Arlindo Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dráusio Siqueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute of the match Flamengo FC got a corner. WAU team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elano Ceresso ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Elano Ceresso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but WAU team's Dráusio Siqueira did a great save. Serginho Azevedo came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by WAU team's Bruninho Borges. But to his dismay, Bruninho Borges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Hílton Terra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dráusio Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Dráusio Siqueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arlindo Leão's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Renan Fantini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serginho Azevedo having to make a save. Serginho Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the game, WAU team's Sidnei Pereira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serginho Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. If Sidnei Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that WAU team were the better team. WAU team's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
