Spectators: 7624 (Terracing: 5719, Seating: 1753, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cauan Neiva started the match with the kick off. Gil Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Pontes having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Oséas Mineiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Cauan Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauan Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Oséas Mineiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Pontes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Goianésia E.C's Sérgio Pontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Goianésia E.C from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Oséas Mineiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sérgio Pontes. Goianésia E.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oséas Mineiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Oséas Mineiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sérgio Pontes. That made the score 4-0 in the 32 minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséas Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oséas Mineiro made a kick off. Oséas Mineiro took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sérgio Pontes. Sérgio Pontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's João Augusto Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sérgio Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas Mineiro in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas Mineiro in the 57th minute of play forced Goianésia E.C's goalkeeper Sérgio Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Goianésia E.C getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Guga Paraíba hit a great ball. Sérgio Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tião de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vágner Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Goianésia E.C booed when Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Mário Mendonça got control of the ball when Vágner Loureiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elias Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Sérgio Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Gil Soeiro notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Goianésia E.C's Sérgio Pontes. Sérgio Pontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Goianésia E.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
