Belcho Hlebarov might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alix Geoffray. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belcho Hlebarov ran back to his position shaking his head. Belcho Hlebarov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Radoy Gúrgov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toufik Loir in the 15th minute. ЦСКА's Radoy Gúrgov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save ЦСКА from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Rathmore Lime Tree defense, Ernest Spoelbergs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alix Geoffray. The Rathmore Lime Tree fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alix Geoffray should have stopped the shot. Rathmore Lime Tree's Hakim Foussard managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Velimir Geneshki in the 22 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Spoelbergs in the 25th minute of play forced Rathmore Lime Tree's goalkeeper Alix Geoffray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hakim Foussard fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rathmore Lime Tree's protests and gave Hakim Foussard a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute Benjamin Loth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radoy Gúrgov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Rathmore Lime Tree's goal looked a bit too open when Ernest Spoelbergs came free, but Alix Geoffray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rathmore Lime Tree's goalkeeper Alix Geoffray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Belcho Hlebarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hakim Foussard was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. In the 42nd minute, Hakim Foussard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Rathmore Lime Tree from getting a goal against them. Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belcho Hlebarov in the 53rd minute of play. Belcho Hlebarov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alix Geoffray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, Rathmore Lime Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilbert Cosson to maneuver through the defense. Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Rathmore Lime Tree from getting a goal against them. Alix Geoffray came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by ЦСКА's Belcho Hlebarov. But to his dismay, Belcho Hlebarov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. ЦСКА's Velimir Geneshki got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Radoy Gúrgov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toufik Loir in the 69th minute of play. Gabin Lièvin hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Rathmore Lime Tree's Carl Mischler was substituted for Pierre-Antoine Fouche. After 72 played minutes Rathmore Lime Tree got a freekick which was hit by Gabin Lièvin. If Belcho Hlebarov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Belcho Hlebarov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Alix Geoffray made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Belcho Hlebarov managed to get in a good position for a shot. ЦСКА's supporters rose to their feet, but Belcho Hlebarov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alix Geoffray breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Belcho Hlebarov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alix Geoffray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, ЦСКА's August Nordlund got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Belcho Hlebarov notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Rathmore Lime Tree's Alix Geoffray. Alix Geoffray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Rathmore Lime Tree's Toufik Loir in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 93rd minute Amine Pinault shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radoy Gúrgov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Rathmore Lime Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toufik Loir to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ЦСКА eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
