The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Marquês de Herval's Bato Gol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olívio Reis. Olívio Reis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Oscar Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Gol in the 10th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Bato Gol. In the 16th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Moura in the 18th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Oscar Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Martins to maneuver through the defense. Oscar Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfredo Domingues got free with Olívio Reis in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 30th minute, Manfredo Domingues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olívio Reis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. A collision led to OTTO FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Otto Gol hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bato Gol in the 33rd minute of play forced OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Olívio Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Oscar Magalhães in the 38th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 44 minutes of play, Marquês de Herval's Manfredo Domingues made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olívio Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bato Gol was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Bato Gol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marquês de Herval and the OTTO FC - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Marquês de Herval getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Bato Gol hit a great ball. Otto Gol came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oscar Freire could save by the left post. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Olívio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bato Gol in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match, Otto Gol got a very nice opportunity to score, but Oscar Freire was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Olívio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bato Gol in the 63rd minute of play. Oscar Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulão Moura in the 65th minute of play. Olívio Reis came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Marquês de Herval's Manfredo Domingues. But to his dismay, Manfredo Domingues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Oscar Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Oscar Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulão Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Marquês de Herval's Manfredo Domingues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olívio Reis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Olívio Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bato Gol in the 81st minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Oscar Magalhães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olívio Reis. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oscar Magalhães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Olívio Reis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Ricardinho Mesquita got a free kick in the 91st minute. Marquês de Herval were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of OTTO FC - FSCMZ for a fine match.
