With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Terra in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Pedro Donatello saved E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE from getting behind. E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's José Pedro Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Terra in the 28th minute of play. E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's José Pedro Donatello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE from getting a goal against them. After 35 played minutes New Joinville - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Silvinho Gaúcho. In the 36th minute Adriano Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Gustavson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno de Senna scored 2-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Pedro Donatello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute, Hugo Favoretto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Pedro Donatello was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Amauri Romero hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Guga Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Adriano Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's zone, Hugo Favoretto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedro Donatello came out of the goal and Hugo Favoretto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, E.C.MUKY JOINVILLE's Marquinhos França got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Hugo Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Joinville - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Favoretto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. New Joinville - FSCMZ fully deserved thier win.
