The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Naim Ünal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanildo Mendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovanildo Mendi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naim Ünal in the 5th minute of play. 0-1 became the score in the 7th minute when Naim Ünal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi - Férias's goal looked a bit too open when Wu Ping Zhen came free, but Geovanildo Mendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovanildo Mendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naim Ünal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandrino Sesimbra in the 33rd minute of play forced Vila Zumbi - Férias's goalkeeper Geovanildo Mendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vila Zumbi - Férias's Geovanildo Mendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Zarco in the 34th minute of play. Alexandre Mendes made in the 37th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ronaldo Meirelles however managed to control. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Wu Ping Zhen managed to get in a good position for a shot. ÓKINJÔ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wu Ping Zhen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovanildo Mendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovanildo Mendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandrino Sesimbra in the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Ronaldo Meirelles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovanildo Mendi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandrino Sesimbra in the 44th minute of play. Magno Moreira charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magno Moreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Magno Moreira hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Vítor da Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandrino Sesimbra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Geovanildo Mendi. Vila Zumbi - Férias's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magno Moreira to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Alexandrino Sesimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanildo Mendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magno Moreira in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frits Sap saved ÓKINJÔ FC from getting behind. Geovanildo Mendi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandrino Sesimbra's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi - Férias's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandrino Sesimbra came free, but Geovanildo Mendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes of play, ÓKINJÔ FC's Alexandrino Sesimbra made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Geovanildo Mendi was left in no man's land by his defense there! 61 minutes into the game, ÓKINJÔ FC's Wu Ping Zhen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovanildo Mendi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 64th minute, Alexandrino Sesimbra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovanildo Mendi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. 66 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi - Férias's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandrino Sesimbra came free, but Geovanildo Mendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vila Zumbi - Férias's Geovanildo Mendi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Vila Zumbi - Férias from getting a goal against them. Alexandrino Sesimbra took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovanildo Mendi. Geovanildo Mendi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. In the 71st minute, Wu Ping Zhen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Geovanildo Mendi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. In the 76th minute, Alexandre Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovanildo Mendi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandrino Sesimbra in the 79th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Alexandrino Sesimbra notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Vila Zumbi - Férias's Geovanildo Mendi. Geovanildo Mendi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Geovanildo Mendi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alexandrino Sesimbra showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 82 minute of play. Vila Zumbi - Férias's Geovanildo Mendi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandrino Sesimbra in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match, Naim Ünal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Geovanildo Mendi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of ÓKINJÔ FC booed when Vila Zumbi - Férias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the game, Alexandrino Sesimbra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geovanildo Mendi. Alexandrino Sesimbra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-12. The audience was convinced that Alexandrino Sesimbra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanildo Mendi was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The Vila Zumbi - Férias fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ÓKINJÔ FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
