The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. CD Chinangachi's Vitor Araso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alvarez in the 3rd minute of play. Carlos Alvarez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitor Araso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match, España Gilavert tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alexandro Gavilanes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Louis Moraitis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Alexandro Gavilanes made a huge save. 30 minutes into the match, FC Philotimo's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Pirani came free, but Alexandro Gavilanes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Carlos Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitor Araso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandro Gavilanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Pirani in the 45th minute of play. After 47 played minutes FC Philotimo got a freekick which was hit by Elco Vid.

An unexpectedly hard shot by España Gilavert in the 88th minute of play forced FC Philotimo's goalkeeper Alexandro Gavilanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Xano Correa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alexandro Gavilanes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that CD Chinangachi were the better team. CD Chinangachi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
